Featured Ohio and Indiana Haunted Attractions to Open for June Excursion

2 Day Tour Departs from Columbus, Ohio on June 1, 2011

The Midwest Haunters Convention (MHC) offers a 2 day pre-convention chartered motor coach bus tour of haunted attractions in Central/Northeast Indiana and Western Ohio June 1-2, 2011. It is the largest tour of its kind in the US: featuring 20 haunted houses over 2 days.

It provides haunted attraction owners, operators and other industry professionals as well as Halloween enthusiasts with opportunities to visit Haunted Attraction venues in the off season for thrills, research purposes and fun. The tour departs from Columbus Ohio and registration is open to the public.

The MHC Haunt Tour features a wide variety of professional haunted enterprises ranging from startup venues to multi-million dollar attractions; many staffed with entertaining live actors – providing outstanding entertainment. There are also opportunities to experience paranormal activities on some excursions; as well as an interesting stop to visit to the International Circus Hall of Fame.

Ticket prices start at $229 per person for an all inclusive 2 day tour package. Buses depart from the Hyatt Regency Columbus at noon on Wednesday, June 1 and return by Thursday June 2 around midnight. Tour registration ends on May 15, 2011 and includes:

  • Charter motor coach transportation with Tour Escorts
  • Overnight Accommodations featuring room packages for 1-4 participants
  • Admission to all 20 attractions
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner both nights
  • Snacks and beverages on bus

A driver’s tour is also available. The public is invited to drive the tour and purchase tickets at each attraction.

The MHC Haunt Tour will visit the following destinations; with some venues offering multiple events: including Ohio stops at the Land of Illusion (Middletown) and Scare Fair (Lima); and Indiana stops at the Eliza Willard Haunted Hotel (Franklin), Fright Manor (Indianapolis), Twisted Darkness (Kokomo), Edge of Insanity (Kokomo), the International Circus Hall of Fame Circus Hall of Fame & Museum (Peru), Haunted Hotel (Huntington), and the Haunted Cave (Ft Wayne).

The MHC Haunt Tour is offered as a pre-convention event for the weekend attendees featuring a tradeshow, education and social events oriented to Halloween trade professionals; and it presents fabulous shopping opportunities for local area businesses and fans.
